autoglym de-icer

 spotted thought it was worth a look http://www.autoglym.com/enGB/product-proddetail.asp?v06VQ=LGF&Range=1 Autoglym De-Icer. In climates that experience below zero temperatures an effective and reliable de-icer is essential for safe driving. Autoglym De-Icer contains 100% effective solvents and anti-freeze ingredients with no added water. Use De-Icer to rapidly dissolve frost and ice from windows and locks. The full strength formulation resists refreezing and is safe in contact with paint, plastics, rubber and metal.

will post a review once i get some ice to test it on ;)

I scrape, hate de-icer. Destroys wipers and worst of all steams up the inside really bad. Takes so long for that to clear you might aswell of just scraped imo.

+ 1 I man up and scrape myself though if this stuff is wiper and paint safe then it might be worth a try.

I had a shop owner throw boiling water over my windscreen the other day!

He came out to help me de-ice my car without me knowing, thought he was being helpful - luckily he didnt smash the windscreen with it!
