It's okay, but no better than the £15 Collinite 845, and can be trickier to remove.

Also, you can buy it from your local rep for about £19 or so.

i'll listen to you RussZs as you know what your talking about. Im looking to buy a wax for my Black Gold clio but dont know which one. My brother has just bought some Hi def autoglym and rates it very high. Im looking for one around the same price if anyone can recommend any.

At this time of year, protection really is key.

Without a doubt, the best choice in terms of price/durability/looks and ease of use is Collinite 845, which is £15. Make sure you prep the surface beforehand with a decent paint cleanser, then get a couple of coats of 845 down, and it'll see you through Winter easily. You can also use it on your wheels and exhaust to make them a lot easier to clean, and to keep them protected. Paint Cleanser wise, I'd recommend Carlack 68 NSC, which also leaves its own protection, and does an incredible job of cleansing paintwork.

Some may say it doesn't 'look' good, but I'd suggest they've never used it.

Depends what you mean by Polish, but the Carlack will effectively replace that stage for you, unless you are going to machine polish it.

I'd definitely clay too, if you haven't in the past 6 months.

Gents - have you tried it? It's like 1000P, but it looks good still after a week :) x 1000P is relegated to wheels!

ok thank you, so wash, clay, wash, dry, carlack and wax. No dont have a machine polish so would only be hand polishing

I'm looking to wax my car just now. Unfortunatley the car is as far as I'm concerned prepped.

I washed it, dry'd it, clayed it, super resin polish, extra gloss protection and now ready for waxing.

I would buy the above but it'll take a while to arrive. I may do anyway. But what other products do I need to look out for at a Halfords or car shop?

In the end I bought the Autoglym one.

I'll post some pics tomorrow but I:

Washed with turtle wax wash stuff, dried (MF cloth), clayed (Auto glym one), Super Resin Polish, Extra gloss Protection, HD Wax.

Done the above twice now but with differing waxes. It's a bit of a pain in the ass in the time it takes so won't be repeating for some time.
