Average owners age?

  172 CUP
Should I be feeling too old driving 172 cup at 50? Having a mid-life crisis at the mo, are there many owners over 50 on here?

No chance, you're never too old to enjoy them!

My old fella is 60 this year and he loved driving my RS's!

(doesnt stop him from cracking that aged old joke; "aye shes nice, runs out of puff after 140 though eh" haha

  This one ^ (someday)
I think i'm at the younger end of the 182 scale at 18.
My dad does drive mine on occasion, he is a big fan of it but always says he could never use it day to day.
I've always thought RS's were a young persons fast car but obviously not!

  Fiesta ST200
I first got mine when I was 18.

19 now, people of all ages drive them!

I see an elderly lady driving a 200 around swindon, brand new with recaros and cup chassis! Good on her!

I'm 24, my dad loves mine and he's 51. He says he wants a 200 when pcp is up on his mazda! I certainly won't be complaining, i can save my money and borrow his :)

My ma drives my 182 the odd time. The only time I've ever seen her speeding was in my 182 at 80mph. She said it was so much fun.

She's 60, lol. I got the 182 it just before I was 21.

21. Can't imagine driving one as a daily above the age of 30 tbh.

Why not? Even oldies of 31+ can still enjoy cars...FFS do people over 30 have to have A4s or 3 series or Mondeos?

When you get older, insurance goes down! ;)

Blimey Don, calling yourself an oldie at 37, makes me and tony Hunter golden oldies then ;)

29. The requirement for a cheap, fast and trackable car meant I sold the 'grown up' 911 for it. Clios are that good.

I agree with Tony, fun should be the deciding factor in the car you buy, age has nothing to do with it.

The release of much needed equity in the 911 played no part. Honestly ;)

  Mercedes C320!
I am 22 at the moment and consider myself very lucky to be driving a 200... I find a lot of RS owners and older due to insurance!

30 this year bought my ph2 172 a few weeks ago....

I don't keep cars very long maybe 6 months tops as I always fancy something else!!!

With just buying a house, I needed a reliable daily that is also cheap to run but fun to drive clio sport fitted the bill perfect and to be honest I'm more than impressed with it :)

I'm 54. Had my car three and a half years. I use for marshalling at rallies and race meetings, trackdays and for long trips occasionally. It's been a brilliant car. I intend to keep it for as long as possible.

I think a wide range of ages enjoy the 1*2 by the looks of things :p. I'm 20, but if I had to guess the average age I'd probably say 25-30 if I had to throw it out there.

I just have the perception that older people would go for newer or more serious wheels and that others wanting a classic would have something that is more of a classic (e.g. my father getting a Lancia Integrale a few years ago / mid fourties, but currently has an Impreza).

I suppose that it is just a cracking cheap fun car though, which favours the young and those that want some fun for sensible money.
