AVG Anti Virus ?

Anyone else use AVG? I've recently changed my anti virus to microsoft essentials which is far better, but it seems avg has taken a fit at me or something, pops up everyday that a restart is needed to finish updating process, and when i do restart it just pops up again. Went to uninstall it and it wont uninstall? This ever happened to anyone else ?

My Computer > Local Disk > Program Files > AVG *Delete*
Msconfig > Startup Tab > Find AVG and Untick it

Never personally had a problem with AVG, always been reliable..

Much easier .
Never thought it needed an Uninstaller/Remover though. Strange.

Yeah it shouldn't but it all went a bit bulky and s**t a few months ago so I tried uninstalling it, caused loads of problems and this sorted it. I now use Avast.

AVG used to be very good but the latest edition really slows the machines down
