AVI to DVD

its not worth the hassle imo, ive done it once and would never do it again, the time it takes and the loss of quality is just crazy

i wait for dvdr releases, wouldnt touch an avi film with a bargepole, who wants to watch a film on thier pc/laptop afterall...

yeah true but the film I got ain't gonna be on dvd for at least months, oh well gonna have to watch it on my pc then.

I use VSO ConvertX ..... not free [well it is if you look for it] but is fantastic with loads of features for playing with the DVD structure etc....

No loss of quality...

It quick too!

I've converted series 2 of prison break (HDTV rips dowloaded as xvid avi's circa 800mb per episode) to DVD and the quality is fine, sticking two episodes per disc.

using nero btw

I do this all the time with no loss of picture quality at all. Most movies you download are gonna be in avi format so if you want it on dvd you have to convert it. Download a cracked version "nero vision" which converts it with no quality loss, fair enough it takes a while (uaually the length of teh movie) but at the end of the day you only have to do it once then you have a hard copy.......
