I used to use bitcomet. I did use Azureus for while but it was a major resource wh0re compared to the other clients.

Get utorrent virtually the same as azureus similar layout etc but is very light on resources.

I'd disagree!

I am downloading Rainbox six vegas and its currently coming in at 41kbs. Surfing the net is painfully slow while downloading, as soon as I close utorrent, all is fine again.

I have 16mb connection and uploads are set to a minimum btw

Do you have NOD32 installed by any chance?
