Hi All! Previous member around 2009 - 2010 when I had my black 172. Now back in a Clio 172 Cup after all these years! Nice to see the forum is still active!

I recently got back into a 172, 10ish years since I sold my 182. Had all manner of hotter hatches in between. There’s something special about these Clios. Don’t think you’d be disappointed.

Had since my original 172 in 2009 I’ve had the following:
Honda Civic Type R FN2
VW Golf R32 (two MK5 and one MK4)
Audi RS4 (B7)
Audi RS3
Merc C63
BMW M5 F10 (for sale!)
Range Rover Sport
Porsche 944
MK1 Golf GTI cabriolet (still got it)
205 GTI (still got it)
And I can honestly say the 172 Cup is still great! Not doing huge distances but the last couple of days have been a hoot - definately was a good idea coming back, so far.
It’s in good company with these two

I really want a B7 RS4, how was your experience? Ruinously expensive to own, decent to drive?

They are great but I prefer my M5 as a suoer saloon platform. Bs7 was pretty expensive to repair but as long as you fine one where the usual common faults have been rectified…unlike mine! I ended up in a mk4 R32 after it as I missed a hot hatch!
