After a few years of going the dirty German route, I bought a dirt cheap iceburg 172 last night. I used to have a Monaco blue pristine example. Decided to go project route this time. Bit of a dog, nothing that can't be sorted out though. Engine seems ok though. Lovely drive home with the exhaust pretty much dragging along the m5 lol

But just looking at it before I went to work this morning brought a little smile to my face hoping it's a pleasurable experience. Ask me again in a few weeks. Lol.

Hope so mate! Had a proper look now and there's nothing that can't be cut out of paint work.
Need a new bonnet and front drivers wing fo sure though. Couple dents that shouldn't be a problem.
Inside is pretty tidy apart from drivers seat. Could do with a new one. Cosmetic bits are last though. Want to be comfortable driving it first lol
Saw a bit of oil under the bonnet, doesn't seem to be loosing any though, oil levels ok. Needs a change though. Engine sound sweet enough.

Going to my mechanic Tuesday so he can give it a once over and carry out the bits I need doing. Providing that's all ok then it's gonna go to a specialist for the cam belt/dephaser and water pump. No proof it's been done so taking it that it hasn't.

And RIP the Monaco. Bless it's soul. Sold it to a mate around 3 years ago. Who proceeded to write it off a few months later.
