Back Sprayer Not Working??

Having a problem with my back windscreen sprayer as it isn't working at the moment! Had it looked at by Renault when I got my 48k service done and they say it might be a valve along the fluid pipe that runs to the sprayer but not for definate?? The pump seems fine as you can hear it when you twist the stalk.

Has anyone else had this problem due to the valve thing or can anyone tell me an easy way I can get this valve to have a look? Renault said it was neccesary to remove some body panels and I said no thanks!

rear motor? I believe there is one for the front and one for the back

There are two, one's for the headlamp washers, the other does both front and back.

I had the same problem, was the washer pump, when I twisted the stalk for the rear wash water came out the front instead!

Replacement jobbie from GSF sorted it :approve:

^^^ ah didn't realise the were for the headlight washers. thought they work off the same stalk as the fronts though? ie. you have to have the fronts on (and the lights) to get the headlight ones to work.

Yep you do, headlights on and pull stalk for a second or two and the second pump kicks in to spray the headlights. The light washers don't automatically spray if you've got the lights on.

Yeah I know, but they don't spray at all unless you have the lights on was what I mean. Remember when I first got the car. confused the hell out of me lol.

I've disconnected the sodding things, fed up of them leaking and the little ball falling out!
