Lowered... what else?
172 wheels and grille? surely can't cost that much.
dont declare just like me and the rest of everyone i know, i honestly dont know anyone who declares there mods on there car, so i didnt cus it was a 1,000 just to insure it then 1,600 with just lowering springs lol. let alone my other 30 mods lol.
Sorry dad :dapprove:.Not declaring is asking for trouble.
I'm not having a go. But worse case scenario is you crash, kill someone who then takes you to court - you get absolutely raped with legal fees and fines etc etc and your insurance is void.
You then get reamed for driving an uninsured car. Risk it all you want but it only takes 1 second to screw up.
To the OP. If your with the right insurer mods are free. I personally reckon you should shop around more.

Basically what I was trying to get at.Awesome.
Then when you hit one of us, and they render your policy invalid, it'll cause us loads of grief.
My f*cking hero.

If you can't afford to modify a car & insure it - Dont :S
Awesome.

Was only asking for a bit of advice not a F*****g lecture of someone like you

Wow. You're a knob.
You won't remember Connor because you were probably still in nappies when he was on here, but he did exactly as you. Then wrote his car off. All his money down the the drain and even had to pay to fix the wall he hit iirc.
If you can't afford to insure it, you can't afford to modify.
Careful Dan. You might upset him.
It's us that are in the wrong, remember.
Rob: Calm down mate. We're not having a go at you. Just that it's best to always declare... it's not just you that insurance covers.
I can afford it tho, like i said before i was seeing what other people do insurance wise
I didn't mean you. You're currently considering being a pleb. I urge you to read that thread and not be so stupid.
If you were to crash and injure someone, you could easily end up in prison.
It seems only fair. I pay £900 a year to drive around in my car, up ~£70 for a backbox. £700 of that is probably to cover someone such as our friend who may as well just not bother at all.
Edit - I'd also like to add it's one thing not declaring this sorta stuff and keeping hush-hush. It's a little bit... Stupid? To brag about it on the internets.
Wel since you have said that i think you will now find the wheels are declard and the induction kit removed, spacers and suspension off tomorrow all legal then or would you like the colour coded side strips off too? until jan the 3rd
Aye, and just to add to this, Thames Valley Po-Po are aware of our little friend now. Suffice to say he'll insure his modifications or I'll probably have a 1.2 litre bean-tin in a few weeks. One thing not declaring a minor 'tweak' such as a carbon badge here and a painted bumpstrip there - it's a different kettle of fish running around with drastically revised running gear without declaring it.
Aye, if you've got the time particularly as this sort of time of year it's more likely to happen it's probably worth doing.
Yep it sure is and now as my mum has read all of this its all has to be above board lol :approve:

yer mayb thats an oxfordshire thing because I dont think I can name anyone that insures their mods either
