Lowered... what else?

172 wheels and grille? surely can't cost that much.

Lowered, wheels, grille, spacers, 172 rear bumper, induction kit, strut brace, and there would be an exhaust aswel if im keeping it the way it is and probs some new wheels

dont declare just like me and the rest of everyone i know, i honestly dont know anyone who declares there mods on there car, so i didnt cus it was a 1,000 just to insure it then 1,600 with just lowering springs lol. let alone my other 30 mods lol.

You got any pictures of your car? And who you insured with who wanted that much for springs?!

yeh i have, try searching "birthday money well spent" that was it 2 months back, has few more bits since then. i cant rememeber but the 1000 pounds is the cheapest and the 1600 was the cheapest. so no matter who was going to insure me them prices were the cheapest.

I'm not having a go. But worse case scenario is you crash, kill someone who then takes you to court - you get absolutely raped with legal fees and fines etc etc and your insurance is void.

You then get reamed for driving an uninsured car. Risk it all you want but it only takes 1 second to screw up.

To the OP. If your with the right insurer mods are free. I personally reckon you should shop around more.

Pfft comin back from the dead to take you to court, scary s**t

In all seriousness its a risk only you can decide whether to take or not.

Awesome.

Then when you hit one of us, and they render your policy invalid, it'll cause us loads of grief.

My f*cking hero.

Wow. You're a knob.

You won't remember Connor because you were probably still in nappies when he was on here, but he did exactly as you. Then wrote his car off. All his money down the the drain and even had to pay to fix the wall he hit iirc.

If you can't afford to insure it, you can't afford to modify.

Careful Dan. You might upset him.

It's us that are in the wrong, remember.

Rob: Calm down mate. We're not having a go at you. Just that it's best to always declare... it's not just you that insurance covers.

Yep i know mate, thats why after reading all of this its going to be declared in the 3rd jan, i only posted this up to see what mods people do insure, who they insure with, and what insurance company people find the cheapest :D

I didn't mean you. You're currently considering being a pleb. I urge you to read that thread and not be so stupid.

If you were to crash and injure someone, you could easily end up in prison.

Yep that why after reading all of this i am going to declare everything, its had the right result but in a heated discussion type of way lol

  Better than yours. C*nt.
Aye, and just to add to this, Thames Valley Po-Po are aware of our little friend now. Suffice to say he'll insure his modifications or I'll probably have a 1.2 litre bean-tin in a few weeks. One thing not declaring a minor 'tweak' such as a carbon badge here and a painted bumpstrip there - it's a different kettle of fish running around with drastically revised running gear without declaring it.

It seems only fair. I pay £900 a year to drive around in my car, up ~£70 for a backbox. £700 of that is probably to cover someone such as our friend who may as well just not bother at all.

Edit - I'd also like to add it's one thing not declaring this sorta stuff and keeping hush-hush. It's a little bit... Stupid? To brag about it on the internets.

Wel since you have said that i think you will now find the wheels are declard and the induction kit removed, spacers and suspension off tomorrow all legal then or would you like the colour coded side strips off too? until jan the 3rd

Not you... Although if yours aren't declared you ought to - but you haven't been sat here boasting about how you didn't because it saved you £600! So I'll let you off for a couple of weeks. Lol.

Aye, if you've got the time particularly as this sort of time of year it's more likely to happen it's probably worth doing.
