Back to std?

Thinking ( just thinking ) of selling up, do i put the car back to std or try and sell with the mod's on?

Would it be better to hold out for my right price from someone off here as is, or mess about putting it back to std to chop in or autotrader, then sell off the bit's? more messing about!

Mod's are

ITG Panel filter
BTB zorst
Inlets - Angelworks
Remap - RStuning
Eibach sportlines
Trophy wheels ( tyres done 200 miles max ,Mich exito pilots ) Still got 182 anthracite wheels with good tyre tread.

I just want advice at the moment , i'm not selling the car or the parts just yet.

Thanks

Back to standard mate. Parts alone will be worth at least £1000 and you'll get the same for the car if not more.

I would think it would sell better standard. Mods are all down to personal taste so it might be difficult to find soemone who wants those mods.

I know what your saying , i would sell to autotrader/trade in std , but do you not think someone off here would not want to buy it , with the mod's on so they don't have to mess around getting it done/paying a garage to do it ect , ect?

£ 300 remaps a gonner right a way?
Other stuff too, Brembo max disc's, EBC Greenstuff front and rear pad's, Goodridge brake lines, i will have to sell the car with these on! , so the only way how to try and claw back some money would be to sell it to someone in the know? discs , pads, lines, have been on for less than 200 miles also!

Thanks

standard as much as possible as that way you get more value back and you also dont put anyone off with the choices you have made.

really hard though as it can involve alot of arsing around to get the original gear back on and selling all the bits off can be a painstaking process.

good luck.

trophy alloys at the right price will go no probs imo

id leave the brakes as they are harder to take off and change, just make your buyers aware of that fact.

Might be an idea to give CS members first refusal with the mods on but if you're going to trade in or go to autotrader I don't think you'll get many interest in the mods.

Upgraded brakes etc. would be less likely to be seen as a mod and more as an improvement imo so wouldn't matter if they were left on.

dont do it leon, just got the car as you wanted.

unless your thinking about buying something very cool in which case i reserve the right to change my advice lol.

Just been driving the wife's TT 225 Quattro a lot , even tho it's not as fun to drive or not as good feeling wise , day to day for my needs it's in a different class.

Pulling away at light's is so much better, squeeze the trigger and your off coz of the torque, no more labouring in 3 rd or 4th @ 30mph , give it a squeeze and your off again, then there's the build !

I'm 36 in martch John so i don't go out for meny FUN twisty or trackday drives! 2.0l turbo car's are the way to go for me, then there's the tuning!

Test drove the Megane cup today , different class to the clio, would go for the R26 tho!
Testing the new Seat Cupra at weekend , decent build , fast when loosend up, and remap to over 300BHP for £500!

No matter what mate, i'll still be up for the RR day, you never know Awesome GTI maybe my new favorite tunners! Lol

Leon you have just got it how you wanted lol

That's it tho Marie i have got it how i want it , and spent money that i won't get back , but i'm still not 100% happy with it for my day to day need's.

i don't want to s**g off the clio coz i love it, i'm just not in love with it! Lol

As it's still got a couple of months worth of warrenty and mot, now may be the right time to move on, nothing sorted yet but it's looking likely.

Leon, just take the exhaust off and put back the stock one, least it will look and sound standard, possibly part ex the inlets and remap for a stock one with someone off here? Only thing that makes a car seem obviously modded is being louder, but as the exhaust went on after the map I'd personally just take that off, put the wheels back on and sell as is and get some coin for the BTB and wheels... Laura will probably have your wheels lol
