  Titanium 182
Hi guys, I used to post on here a while back (not a lot though) when I owned a 182, sadly after 3 months after purchase the car was written off :( I also needed something a bit more economical at the time so got a Fiesta ZS TDCi. Miles have dropped a lot since (only do 4k a year now) so I am looking to pick up another 182. Prices seem to be all over the place so I am not sure what is accurate to be honest!
I've seen some that look like really good buys as low as £2500 and then some dogs for £3500! What do you guys think I should be paying? I want the best I can find (obviously) so how much do you think I should be looking at for a Titanium or BG 182 FF, 70k or less with recent belt changes and service history? I have a few months to find one so I can wait to find one matching these criteria. I've been checking eBay, Autotrader and Pistonheads but I think I will probably end up getting one from the classifieds section on here as at least the members know the importance of a specialist for belt changes!
Will have sold my car by August hopefully

Here was my old 182 after several hours of detailing:

Looks tidy mate :)

Shame it was written off because it was immaculate! Few issues I didn't spot when I picked her up though! Steering wheel wasn't straight for one!

Thanks Adam, I know it may seem like a daft question but is there anything else I should look out for when buying a 182? It's been about 3 years now since I last looked and just want to make sure that those 3 years haven't started revealing any more car specific issues? Rust locations etc?

I know to check about the belts and exhausts, rocker cover leaks etc

Thanks all!

Pretty much same checks as before, but just more vigilant on signs of crash damage, tyres etc

As unfortunately these have become cheap and not necessarily maintained that well imo.

I don't think rust is really an issue on these, as you say belts and that but other than that I'm not really sure mate. FSH would be good, just the usual stuff. Think there's a thread on the checks somewhere, maybe for members only.

Ok thanks guys will just be extra vigilant then, can't believe the price to be honest, me and a friend are thinking of picking up an rx8 or a 172 purely for a track car they are so cheap!

Thanks for the help, will start a project thread when I get her!
