Backfiring when cold

Well I say backfiring... basically sometimes when setting off (car stone cold from overnight) when I rev to about 2.5k, and I let off the accelerator, the exhaust makes 1 big pop/bang. After the first time if I rev on purpose it pops each time for a min or so till the car is warmed up slightly. Any ideas what could cause this? Could there be an underlying issue?

thats due to the de cat.mines an asbo machine when cold have to roll on the clutch for a while until theres a bit of temp

It did it before the decat lol but wasnt as loud!

I have seen you pull off from work from cold and yes its loud but sounds imense from outside..

Lol mine has a mid silencer so god knows what it would be like without it
