Bad Head Unit Connection?

Recently my standard tuner list radio randomly pops and turns itself on and off every now and then. It mostly happens when the engine is off but everything dies, the speakers make a pop and the dash display doesn't show and info apart from the time as if I have turned it off myself.

Im guessing there's a bad connection somewhere but has anyone got any ideas where it could be? Is it a common problem?

I don't have the key to remove the head unit so I haven't been able to take a look myself.

the speaker pop maybe completely unrelated,if its just one itll be either the wiring or the speaker earthing out
if all it'll be to do with either the unit or the wiring to it
