baffled by baffles

What is it? and has anyone had any problems with them. Ive been told mine is split and will cost £316 to replace.

I believe its the exhaust baffle. Problem only happens over 4000rpm in 2nd.

£316 would buy you an exhaust that would never rattle.

The centre section is knackered, VERY common on 172s (infact i think they all do it eventually)

best off getting a stainless steel jobbie (MUCH cheap and MUCH better than Renault)
