It's bad, really bad. In fact it's almost comical.

The sound is atrocious. In 5 with a decent headset you could pinpoint footsteps with pin point accuracy. In this it sounds like you're up underwater ffs.

Don't know about PC but on Series X the graphics look worse than 5 does. Next gen my ass.

Why isn't there a proper scoreboard? Who decided it would be a good idea to make it impossible to see how many times you've been killed? I can only assume it's to stop the snowflakes feeling suicidal if they get a negative KDR.

Why does the movement feel so light? It feels like you're floating the whole time!

I could go on and on. I've played every battlefield since the start and this is the biggest let down in the entire franchise.

This was the main reason I fucked off my pre order. The Beta wasn't great but I thought they could solve the issues. It appears that that haven't.

On the other hand, Vanguard's campaign is pretty good.

I think it's only something like 2 hours of play time if you want a refund.
I cancelled mine before the amended launch date.

Agree with a lot of the points, but the graphics for me are pretty immense tbh. The cut scenes look shite, but gameplay and scenery is amazing. Series X/UHD HDR OLED

Fr33thy optimisation vid is up, reckons he's found Pro-G 50mm set to Stereo sound as the best for the Audio. He's not too impressed with the engine/CPU/GPU utilisation.



I did a few more games midday yesterday and had a bit of a better experience on Breakthrough. Much better than when me and @Cub. did the Korean city map.

Unlocked an 8x on the sniper which has a few more range finding dots for working out range on the reticle, apparently it's ADS is the fastest at the moment too.

It does look like the 2042 weapons do level up in Portal. The xp farm games have been nerfed though I think as people were just jumping in, one shotting hundreds of bots and getting like 9 levels on the gun. Who'd have thought people would instantly cheese it on release and stuff wouldn't need to be in place to counter it...

What a s**t show, worse in every way than BF5 imo, got a refund and will hope they sort it out as I’m a long term BF fan but this version so far is a total joke, for me it felt and looked worse than beta, terrible.

I won’t get a refund as I didn’t buy it in the first place 😂 Free copy FTW.

I’m keen to try with a full squad. One of the best things on WZ is the team work, and I’m keen to see how BF works in a squad with good comms.

It does look like the 2042 weapons do level up in Portal.

Just went into a Portal TDM and used the SMG which I haven't tried in all out warfare yet and it didn't clock up any kills for the attachment unlocks. 😣

Why they've locked loads of other modes into Portal that you can't really gain anything from is beyond me. There should just be a "standard 2042" option you check and it treats the Custom games like they're part of All out War.

They dont need to send out updates luckily as they can update it on the fly through their backend, So bits are getting fixed as it progresses every day.

I like it. No attachments for guns initially is tough. I need an grip on my AR as the recoil is pretty strong.

Also, not being able to tell if its baddies around you when you are "downed" is a pain. As is the revive function just plain not working sometimes. Think we played for a couple of hours this afternoon but only managed to play the same 2 maps over and over.

Heard that DLSS doesn't work properly yet but will on Friday. I've turned it off for now as the trees were a bit too fuzzy as you say @Greeny. Looked ok on the barer maps.

No idea what FPS I'm getting. Riva tuner screwed up OBS for me last time. Does anyone know how to decipher the console FPS counter where it shows CPU and GPU FPS separately? 🤔

Should be pegged at 100% (GPU), really if you're only at 100 frames. I'm using DLSS for now to peg the frames up, but yeah it looks jank. So does TXAA on high

Not that big IIRC. Horizon 5 was 100Gb but from memory this was nowhere near.

Played some more last night. ARs seem to be kinda useless at the mo. SMGs are better for close to medium range and snipers/DMRs for longer shots. At no point is an AR better.

Hit reg seemed to be pretty awful last night also. Would literally spray a clip into someone and get no hit markers.
