Beeping sound

ok so ive searched for any related problems in this section but my searches so far have come up with nothing.....this is not a massive problem, just an annoying one!

When i press the button on the key to lock my car, the car beeps either 3 times or sometimes 4. Im not sure if this has something to do with the alarm, sounds like it does to me but this is only a guess. It doesn't happen all the time but say once in every 4 times i go to lock it it will make this annoying sound and its doing my head in grrrrr!!

I am going to go to the renault dealers tomorrow to chat to them about it (and a couple of other annoying sounds) but would just like to know maybe a bit about what it could be incase they try to fob me off (as garages tend to do alot with girls thinking they will just take the first answer and accept it)

Plenty of topics on this.

Mine does the same, there is a fault within the alarm that can be fixed if it bothers you. Basically the alarm is recieving a signal from the ignition or something.

Search and there is a code to give to the dealer to fix it.

ok cool, sorry to disturb u haha, i jus didnt know what to search, i think i searched 'beeping when locking door' or something and it didnt come up with anything :S im probably using completely the wronng words though, these blonde moments are beginning to become an illness! :rasp:

Search alarm beeping or something, as it's the alarm at fault.

Your either very incapable or using the search engine or didn't bother even tryong in which case why lie. I've just given it a go and found the answer in under 30 seconds maybe you should try again.
