Belts change

  ?
Been quoted the following:

£160 for cambelt + aux belt change.

Providing i supply the official renault parts, which im buying for £90.

So £250 all in for belt change.

Now... do i need to change the water pump too? Heard this can leak onto the aux belt.

I'd be worried they won't be changing idler for that price, so ask to see old one after its been changed

Nah it a friend of my dad sorting it out with his friends so kind of heavily discounted ;)

Changed a wishbone on my car before for £35 and you can stand over them while there doing it to make sure everythings done ok.

do the water pump, it will save you taking half of the engine off again to get to it when it could be done at the same time as the belt, really easily. cheap price though

Will the water pump definately blow? everyone im talking too is saying dont bother with it no neeed... how will i know if it goes?

the lifespan on the water pump is about the same as the belts, so im told, so just get it done at the same time. it is right down the side and quite hard to get to so while the belts are being done it will be easier to just do the pump aswell. but how long are you keeping the car, arent you upgrading soon?
