19 of us went over to the 'Ring from 21st-24th August. On the Saturday, I was going round doing my 4th lap when I kind of fcuked up at Adenauer-Forst, which resulted in me hitting the kerb head on around 60mph, onto the grass and back off the kerb onto the tarmac. A knocking started to develop and turning left proved to be a bit of an issue. Anyway, I completed the lap, took the car to one of the car parks, noticed the top of the wheel was pushed in towards the car and thought... uh oh.
Anyway, took it to a local garage the next day and they said to not take the car on the 'Ring anymore but it's ok to drive home. I therefore lost Sunday of lapping, etc... I wasn't too bothered as I got a few passenger rides
I phoned Mike/Dave at Rentech on Monday morning from Germany and booked the car in for Tuesday. I collected it yesterday afternoon after having both front shocks replaced, offside front CV boot repaired, replaced both top mounts and four wheel alignment for under £300. So the car's back and I'm happy... until the next time! Haha!
