What would you say is the best isp at the min

Its for me Bro and he dont want to be paying any more than £20 a month and dont want any less than 2meg and 20 gig cap

What would you guys recommend?

If he has sky they will probably be the cheapest. Not sure how good an ISP they are though.

No Cap £17.99 including line rental and calls etc...downloaded 8gig movie in 1 day and a half... excellent service so far...had it for 6 months

There is no 'best' isp, just one that is more suited to yourself and location

8mb talk talk and the likes are w**k!

i pay £25 a month for 5mb with Nildram (or 8mb if u can get it). Never had a problem, and their customer support is very good if you have a query.

Ive told him to go with Zen internet....he didnt wanna pay more than £20 a month but im with them and been good so far + only a fiver extra.

The only problem I have with sky and orange broadband is that you have to take a new 12 month contract out with them. Which is ok if your a new subscriber but if your near the end or out of your contract then you'll be tied back into them for 12 months!

Isnt there a big waiting list for skys package as well ...i think he was told 3 months :eek:

Ive just signed up to Plusnet, £15 a month, 8mb, no download limit!

DO IT, and put my name down as a referree cause i get 50p a month off!

anyone got any horror stories about them?

I wondered why someone bothered ringing me from Orange asking me whether I would like to use their broadband service. They soon ended the conversation though when I said the download cap was too small for me.

I'm with Pipex at the moment, and the support is pretty bad, although the line doesn't usually screw up so don't need to use it very much thankfully.
