Best/most reliable remote file storage?

Due to the importance of data I have, im considering a remote/online file storage facility but don't know who to use...the problem I worry is if that company were to go bust or similar then what happens to your data?

Just buy an ExtHD and keep it at home?

Then another one somewhere else?

And one somewhere else? Lol.

Print all of the data out and send it too iron mountain

Depending on what kind of "data" it is you have then you could use Google Docs for all the Word, Excel etc as a back up.

Then buy an external HDD, store it all then ask a bank to hold it in their safe.

OR zip them all up and email them to a gmail account (as long as its not like more than 2GB)
