for a mk2 182 'square' airbox?

itg, k&n, pipercross etc

i want a bit more sound from the front but not got the funds for the v6/ph1 airbox setup

whats the best in your opinion

Didn't really notice much to be honest. I changed it mainly because of the servicing advantages, you don't need to replace them often, just clean them up.

:p on a serious note though fred, what would you recommend for a little more noise? (already got the airbox cold air intake pipe removed...i think) is the standard filter actually better?

all of the 190+bhp cars i've done use the stock airbox with a stock filter, no one bothers cleaning the fancy ones and after time they end up knackered

im just fed up with the slight whistly sucking noise from the standard filter, rather a bit more noise to even it out from the noise of the milltek... so still might look into one as its only 30squid and if i dont like it SELL IT :D after all tuning is personal preference as much as it is technical :)

but thanks for the info fred altho you called me a chav :( lol

I have millitek and I use a k&n panel filter can't tell you the difference but I think its ok.

I think pipercross is the least restrictive out of the lot seen it talked about on here. If your looking for noise though you may be disappointed with just a new panel filter.
