Give me a budget and what you want from it and I can do something through my company.

Dell are an arse to upgrade as they use their own power connector (which just happens to have the same connector as ATX, so you blow the board and components up if you plug a normal ATX supply in...

Already posted, yes Dells are a bugger to upgrade as they use proprietary power connectors.

build yourself, best choice of components and can fit the PC to exactly what you do, look out for special offers on components and go from there. I hate preinstalled s**t that come with computers.

Alienware look cool but when put through group tests in various mags they are out performed, and thats before they even start about value for money

I have had a couple of top spec machines from MESH that were ok. Like all PC builders their software builds suck and the tech support ain't up to much but then I always format the thing as soon as I get it and install everything myself.

I bought one from them because a, some of the components like the GFX cards were so new that only the big builders had them and you couldn't get them seperately in the shops and b, they were selling it pre-built for less than I could buy all the bits seperately! That was a couple of years ago, dunno if they are still so good on price.

Also a lot of thought had gone into how they had built it so that upgrading was easy. Just in terms of how they had located cables, what slots they had used etc.
