Not sure on the exact bhp figure mate but they have been know (bad original inlets) to have achieved 10bhp i think.

To be honest, if your planning on actaully going somewhere to get it done and not just send it etc... Angleworks, GDI and Hillpower are all safe bets.

Edit: Although having just seen your location, thats that plan probably out the window lol. Take it youll be sending then?

any problems with me or my company feel free to pm me, this thread has gone way off topic, i've requested for a clean up

garymac, appologies for the slanging match and the thread going way off topic, seeing as you're a new member the last thing you need to see is this sort of thing, hope you get your manifold sorted

regards

Fred

I thought we were getting back on topic. lol.

Gary: Unfortuatley, i dont know of anywhere near me that would actually do this, only fit the matched inlet. I went down to GDI when i had plans on seeing a mate down there and spent some time there so not so bad.

As i understand it, you could ask any of the 3 companies to send you a matched inlet, take it to a good garage (preferably tuning garage) take the std one off, fit the new and post the std back down to whoever provided you with their wonderful service lol.

Dastek, in Dalgety Bay actually offered to fit mine no probs for me if i decided to send it, but they really pi$$ed me off a while ago and will never go back.

Sorry i missed this thread today everybody, so i dont know the general gist of things said.

I am the sole employee or AWT at the moment doing physical work, although me and my partners have spent MONTHS arranging, organising and finalising the move from myself T/A Angelworks, to AngelWorks Technologies Ltd and its new premises.

James, i know it has taken a long time, and i have consistently apologised and kept you updated with my situation, being honest and not fobbing you off with excuses. You made the order in may yes, at which time relationship with company we were sub letting off had already broken down. We stopped working at previous premises in april, and were asked to officially vacate in june. Since then i have kept you updated and offered a refund, to which you said you were in no rush so long as you get it by the end of the year, which i promised too. I hope this is still ok with yourself and that the alternative tone of voice on the forum is just one of a frustrated man. All my offers and promises still stand in regards to everything said in emails. And again, my deepest apologies for what can only be poor delivery of products in this difficult time.

Since june we have spent the rest of the year searching for a premises, having found one in july and made moves to obtain it. Several spanners were put in the works and it took us 3 months to get the initial draft lease through and after sorting all that out we took over the property in oct. It has taken since the 1st of oct to purcahse ALL NEW equipment from fixtures and fittings, to machinery and ramps, to move all old equipment, build new rooms within the shell of the building, install compressed air systems and the rest of the physical and administration required to get up and running.

It was only this thursday night which i recieved my tools back, and that was the final peice of the puzzle missing. We are opening to the public on monday after several reschedules.

On all manifold orders i have explained the situation to every potential customer and that they will be placed on the list and when i reach their name i will contact them to inform them that it is ready. I have made this very clear as not to provide too much dissapointment with the lead times as even i agree they are apalling, but we have been struggling with being out of the loop for almost a year and anybody who doesnt want to be on the waiting list can be removed if they are unhappy, there is nothing legally binding.

And i refuse to do the manifolds whilst customers wait as it is not a quick process, it takes me about 3 hours to do both components as i work slow to retain accuracy, and i feel that no customer should have to wait 4 hours or so for me to remove, modify, install a manifold. And as such, i do the modifications at the end of the working day in the evenings when i have no interruptions from telephones etc.

If anybody has any questions feel free to ask.

Hi there ben. well i'll def get my manifold done by your selfs but i'll need to do it on the exchange basis. how long is the waiting list???

we hope to have caught up for the end of jan, but realistically, it depends how fast we can source all the inlet manifolds we need.

From the info i've been getting this is money very well spent. 8/13bhp gain are possible. thats great. so there aint any way that this is a waste of time:)

^ only if your manifold is well off. there is a possibility that it could add nothing, but in knowing renault i doubt any of them line up nicely.

i PM'd stan* and got a competitive quote off him, so not sure who to get mine off now.

How much is competitive Mark?

hillpower want 200quid on an exchange basis and done the day you go.

stan* wants 250, but 100quid is a refundable deposit if you return your standard ones. otherwise i hear benR charges circa 180 so they're all fairly competitive

the fact my brother can return my inlets for free through his work makes it competitive for me, as it lessens the postage costs
