Dust Karen, dust!

You need a 5 meter one, five min job though. Along the dash, down the side, under the rubber seal on the door/sill, slide it under the but of plastic at the bot of the rear quarter trim into the boot. I did it without removing any parts and still making it well hidden.

all the new tomtoms ONE/510/710/910 dont need the antenna...all will work through the 172/182/v6 windsreens due to a better and upgraded chip that finds and keeps a signal longer ....even works indoors

Oooh now that sounds easier!

TomTom One! Never had any problems with mine, its £215 on the Amazon site now I think.

Will work with the 182 windscreen, simple to set up, easy to use, the best imo! :D

Ooh cheap too! Actually probably sounds ideal for me being easy to use and set up

What is the difference (briefly) in the different TT's??

TT One is the cheapest, new chipset, so better signal and will work in the 182's etc.

300/500/700 are the old style, need extra antenna for the 182.

510/710/910 are the new versions, with the new chipset, I think the 710/910 come with European maps. They also have harddrives for storing music etc!!

I use Tom Tom One, no problem at all with the 182 windscreen, with regard to a mac if you connect it via usb on a pc (havent tried it with the imac yet - but i can if you really need to know if its the same) it just appears as an external drive and is drag and drop, couldn't be simpler.

Oh and the speed camera thing is usefull too, i subscribed via the site and it says that the file will only work with my numbered unit, but if anyone wants to try it drop me an email at cliotrophy@hotmail.co.uk and you're more than welcome to try it, but PM me here as well because that address hardly ever gets checked.
