best tyres for o.z f1s?

  182 and cherokee 4.0
just bought a set of these (15s) and they came with two nearly new toyo proxes t1rs (195/50/15) and two budgets.

i have always had pe2s on the standard 182 wheels.

can't decide whether to just get two new proxes or a full new set of tyres. if i go for a new set of tyres then which ones?

i have done a search and can't find what i'm looking for. the proxes seem to get mixed reviews?

the car is lowered on v maxx coilovers. would people advise getting 45 or 50 profile tyres if i get a new set???

Tyre choice is up to you, but if its a track car, go for 205/50/15's. If its a road car, go for 195/50/15's as they're dirt cheap!

cheers mate want to track it in the long run but these would be probably only be used on the road. just i've never used anything other than the pe2s on the clio and was kind of tempted to get another set of those but they are a fair bit more expensive than the proxes

On a side note, please put pics of your car up on the oz f1's i was wanting chris205's but im too tight to shell out the money. Wish i got them now.

Another vote for T1R's. A lot of people slate them, but imo although they may lack the outright grip of say, Continental Sport Contact 3s, they are that much more readable, that you'll be quicker on the Toyos than you would be on the Contis.

looks like two new proxes t1rs in 195/50 then? they ok in the wet?

would there be any difference handling wise between 195/50 and 195/45?

I need new fronts, my coilovers haven't been set up properly and the insides is as bald as Daniel.

How much are T1R's in 195/50/15 each ?

Getting my own back for the fringe jokes I endure on here !

£27 f**k me, I've got free fitting too that's ace :D

I've used T1r's on track all year, and been plenty quick enough wet and dry.

Oulton x 2, Cadwell x 2, Brands, Marham x 2.

Got them on my road car at the moment too.

They are softer than the Michelins I had previously, but at half price they are certainly not half as soft!

I personally don't think you can go wrong for the money!

Get 50 profile. 45 looks DAFT on a Mk2. Handling on 45s would probably be a little sharper but then theyre more expensive too.

Camskill, 195/50/15, done.

Infact, I had them on my 182 aswell, seems I get on quite well with them.

45's look daft. Never used them so can't comment, but they look pants. (imo!)

I've got TR1's on the front of mine. I'm happy with them. I think i'm going to get some on the back too rather than the P6000 ditch finders.

Its about £15 to a tyre to get them fitted though :/ so it puts them up to PE2 price fitted at Costco.
