BG 182 :D

I've now been the proud owner of a BG FF 182 for four weeks now... and I haven't really been active on the website because I've been having too much fun with the car!!!
So, I thought it was about time I got some pictures up!

Haven't done a great deal with it yet! Just a few cosmetic things that I wanted to get done to make it look better (IMO)

The night I had it:

With my old car (can just about see it!) X reg 1.2

Fitted new number plates as old ones weren't in the best condition (front one was cracked) and also needed new caps - as you can see on the previous image! The number plates removed were the originals and the heads on the screws had rusted over and were a real pain to get off!

Changed my tax disc holder!!!

And finally the most important thing (to me anyway) was having my alloys refurbed!

It is the car I have ALWAYS wanted and as you might have guessed... I'm quite proud of it!!!!

I love the BG. It looks brilliant when it's nice and shiney, only downside is it shows the dirt a lot quicker! But I think it's worth it!!!
No plans for it yet, going to try and save a bit of money again and then see what happens!

Nice! Where did you go for the wheel refurb?

I went to Hylton Renault Worcester to get my number plates and I just happened to see an alloy they had on display which was split into three segments showing it damaged, repaired and sprayed black. And basically said prices from £50. I'd already had a couple of quotes, so I figured a third wouldn't hurt! He came and looked at it and said he'd do all four for £200 all in! And I'm pleased with the results!

I've had the 1.2 for over 4 years, since I passed my test, and then after less than a day of owning the 182 I had to move the 1.2 just up the road and I had never realised just how flat it was! It's lovely to have that power behind me. Rather than the car thinking about pulling off and then half an hour later it actually moves!!!!

Have now added a nice new set of Renaultsport mats to replace the manky worn ones that came with the car!!!
All little changes but to me they are making it look better and better by the day!

Unfortunately my lambda sensor light has now come on on the dash so it won't be money spent making it look better, it'll be a more practical spend!!!

Pretty Much the same as mine! Good choice!

I have just bought some eibach springs and AST solid top mounts to improve the stance and add some camber will be fitting this weekend, ill get some pictures up so you can decide if its the way forward for yours :rasp: .. practical spends puffftt

And as for the practical spend... I haven't had to because the light has gone off again!! :S
Will have to keep an eye on it though because it's the second time since I've had it that it's come on and hone off again!!!

Hadn't thought of having the bullets the same colour as the alloys.
They are a bit murky and need some TLC, you can just about see it on the close up photo around the bottom.
Bullets are my next mission and de-fuzzing my headlights!

So, I had a day off today and went for a random drive!! On the way back I stopped off at Himley Hall to take a few pictures. Sadly because it was a spur of the moment thing the car wasn't very clean and I only had my phone, but some of them came out quite nicely so here are a few!!

Lol! Spotted in the reflection! There's a bit of a story to that RS. He had a green one before but someone broke into his house during the night and stole his keys and he's not seen or heard anything of it since (not surprising). So he ordered himself a new one and went for white so it was more subtle (his words!!) and after only a few weeks of having it he's already hit something and has had to have some work done to the front of it!!

Clio is OEM apart from the exhaust which is a Scorpion!

I'm going to keep it mainly standard, but I have considered getting it lowered (when I have a bit of extra cash!)

Completely agree with the need for tyre shine!! When I had the alloys refurbed they blacked all my tyres but it's since worn off and needs doing again! That's my mission for this afternoon!

It is one hell of an upgrade going from a 1.2 to a sport! Drove my old car last week for the first time since I had the 182 (which is about 2 months now!) and I don't know how I drove it for over 4 years!! It was so flat! It actually has to think about moving before it will actually pull off, bless it!!!
I'm keen to keep it OEM+ and don't want to do too much to it, as I like it how it is!
