BHP Gains

Anyone know what sort of power gain my 172 phase 2 2003 would get with a KTR Sport CAT, Mild steel Cat back stealth system and a pipercross panel filter? and will it pass MOT emissions?

5-6bhp if you are lucky. You might end up with about 160bhp ish in total then.

I have be told that a standard 172 phase 2 with a KTR sports cat and sports stealth system plus filter, would only produce 160 bhp. Surely it would be more?

edit: they vary depending on engine health, usually between 160-175

The f4r engine in 1*2's is well known for producing power figures below the 'book' figure, many 172's achieve figures of around 165bhp and many 182's getting figures of around 170-175bhp. Some do make more power but dont be surprised if yours makes less power than standard. TBH i would be happy if i made near enopugh standard power after fitting breathing mods

They should come out of the factory with 169bhp.

They dont.

Mine made 158.8bhp standard, some have seen lower, some more.
