At least you get birds. I pull men.

If its been there for some time it does damage paintwork unfortunately. Try bird crap remover (not exactly what its called) if that doesnt work then unfortunately the paints fcuked

When I was a student and did some work for a rental car company an astra had to have a re-sprayed bonnet as it was parked in under a arch used by pidgins and it sat there for 3 weeks. The birds covered in it poo and the acid in it took all the lacquer of the paint!

So you had it on when you arrived at work and just left it ? Your better off cleaning it off as soon as you can rather than leave it to burn the paint . Sounds like it's etched into the paintwork / lacquer . A machine polish might remove it . Personally i always keep a bottle of quick detailer in the boot and a couple of mf cloths just in case ;)

I hate birds anyway but hate them even more when they c**p on my car, always just after I've washed it as well! Think they sit and watch for people to finish washing their cars and go indoors before they fly over the cars and let it all out!

Couple years ago my dad put a deposit down on a 911, came to the day of his pickup and there was bird shite on the bonnet, because it had sat there for a week, when he came to rub it off it has singed the paint off!

Maybe the bird thought it had to leave a deposit as well...

Found a MASSIVE bird sh1t on my windscreen this afternoon, didn't know so much poo could come out of one bird, it must have been a rare flying ostrich.

There was more on the roof and bonnet as well, luckily I keep a bottle of water and a cloth in the car to rinse it straight off..

It's always confused me what birds must eat that makes their s**t strong enough to get through cc / paint... Meguiars QD & a couple of microfibers in the boot is def the way forwards. Get it off as soon as you notice it. Always have a quick look 'round my car before and after work just to check and remove any "presents" as soon as possible. Apparently because birds normally try to s**t on water they tend to get nicely washed and waxed cars, because to their eyes the refelctions make your car look like said water.

Answer = Don't wash your car.

Yet another story of Renaults Chocolate paint vs Bird crap.

It seems to etch on contact so it seems in some cases.

Try and see if a decent polish sorts it.
