Megane 225 Turbo
Well it's coming up to the end of my first year's driving, and I've made it through without even a slight dent or a curbed alloy, so that's good. My insurance renewal found its way onto my doormat today, and it's gone from £1600 (£150 a month) to £933 (£85 a month). This is with Quinn-Direct. Now I heard someone on here the other day saying something about Quinn-Direct, and that they aren't bothered about modifications, unless they affect the power of the car in any way, a few insurance companies are like that apparently.
The problem is, with Norwich Union I've been quoted £735 (around £70 a month) but that would involve paying £150 deposit, swapping companies and then finding out if I wanted to add wheels to it (which is becoming highly likely) that they're going to sting me for that and I end up paying more than I would with Quinn-Direct. My mate just says "Well, for the difference it could end up working out, stay where you are and save the hassles of cancelling debit's etc" But I'm undecided.
Should I refuse the renewal quote and go with Norwich Union or not? Any tips or advice are greatly appreciated. I'm the type who's anything for an easy life so it's an arse really that Quinn-Direct didn't come out cheapest.
Cheers
Edit: Incase it's relevant, I'm 19 with a 1.2 55plate Clio Extreme 4 (75BHP) with 1 years no-claims (well I will have in May).
