The car's off to Carlton tomorrow to get it checked anyway, but thought I'd see i I could get a heads-up first...
On reversing down my parents' drive a week or so ago, I heard quite a loud clunk. I put it down to going over a drain at the time, but ever since it feels like the tracking is out. More of a concern is that it almost feels like I can now turn the wheel past what used to be full lock each way (like I have an extra quarter of a turn before full lock kicks in) which suggests something might be up with the steering rack?
Anyone had any expierience of this before? I don't really want to have to replace a steering rack this close to Xmas...
