I recogn some clever work with a pound shop glue gun, then a bodge job, rubbed down and painted would look just like new

Where would i get the fibre glass from?

You can get fibreglass from a motor factors. It may be worth bracing it with some wire mesh as well then a bit of P38 filler to finish on the front.
