blu-ray players - what to look for?

Ok, im new to the BLU-ray stuff. im looking for a standalone player to watch movies on.
What should i be looking out for or avoiding in these? tv is 1080p
Or do they all do the same thing? would like to keep it fairly cheap and prob stick to sony as everything else is sony. (tv, dvd, surround etc)

erm depends what you want really the more you spend the better they are

but warning they are nearly all painfully slow are you wanting true hd etc or just dts 24p etc

slow.. as in the initial loading time? or slow when skipping chapters etc?
as for the true hd / dts 24p.... i havent a clue to be honest mate. dts 24p is that the 24frame rate ?

dts is sound 24p is frame rate

and slow as in stick in disk then it takes like 2 minutes till you can watch it

iv got the sony s350 and its a good bit of kit for not much money!
