Smoke was coming off-em @ brands and the ring...

The heat coming out of them was rediculous...!

I dont know whether to have them skimmed, or just order a new pair of the feckers...

If I do, Ill get the brembo as recommended by Fred.

Agree with the brembos - £60 from GSF, mine came yesterday. Might look to see if i can get some ducting from the front to the disc hubs, it cured my brake problems when i had the EVO.

why do disks go blue then, my one disc was blue after it was put on Fred, now I have lots of squeaking and a loud noise sometimes at 80 on the motorway?

which one dave?? theyll go slightly blue during bedding in especially when running those pads

enthusiatic braking will sort it (dont go crazy though!!!)

you have to get the pads/discs through the intial heat process so all the resins + dirt etc are bedded in/burnt off

how does it brake???

Discolouration due to excessive hot/cold/hot/cold/hot/cold...

AFAIK...

Either that, or someones put them in a dishwasher!

yeah, was thinking about it, the brakes are amazing, very very good, not too sharp either, if you brake right it doesnt put you through the windscreen.

As I said, I have a bit of a squeak problem at the mo, even when not braking and driving at up to 40 mph.

Then there is this noise I get on the motorway sometimes like I have flat tyre of something, my only thought was maybe a warped disc?????

Oh and you also forgot to mention the sparks LOL, scared the sh*t out of me the first time i drove it in the dark!!!!!!!

The PF97 pads and Brembo Max discs make a lovely, pretty sparkler effect as they grind against each other under hard braking in the dark LoL

Im sure that Yoz or Lee has a pic they can put up! Looks cool

Im tempted to swap to those pads simply for that reason alone LOL

LOL, I am yet to do it next to another car to see what they think, but it did scare me the first time.

Cant wait until the night run at the meet in maidenhead tomorrow night

changing bits like that whilst the clio is under warranty doesnt effect it does it?

  Clio 197

^^

Its not like their warrantys worth it, Lol!

I paid to get my temperature sensor fixed myself... to avoid taking two days off work to do it under warranty.

Bunch of pikeys!

lol^^^^^^^^

you had the oxygen sensor done yet as well then?;)

The PF97 pads and Brembo Max discs - how much and are they noticably different from the standard set up?

  Clio 197

Yoz and Fred are the guys to speak to...

They do a full kit of Discs, Pads and braided hoses.

Lets put it this way: In town - you wont notice the difference...

As soon as you get some heat into them: Theyre stunning.

The pads are essentially sandpaper, and so you can imagine the stopping power.

(this is all AFAIK of course... pm Yoz / Fred).

omar is right, i thought the 182 setup was good but it is nothing compared to these, and i havent even got them on track yet but they are so powerful the abs is having a job to get the car not to stop on the spot.
