Blue Nipple Next to interior light...

Its a thermistor I think, used to measure the interior temperature for controlling the climate control.

Some cars have the blue nipple, others like the 172's have a small fan hidden behind the plastic of the interior light panel. People used to moan that the fans made an annoying buzzing noise, so thats probably why they changed the design.
