Blue remote wire!!!!!!

Im gonna fit my amp wiring in the next few days. I remember from fitting the steering wheel adapter (its a connects2 one) that I had to plug a blue remote wire into the headunit wiring loom. I cant remember if there is another one. I dont wanna pull my headunit out cos It takes aaggggggggeeees to put back in again cos of all the wires! If there is only one remote wire (and its being used up) what do I do?

You can split the remote so that one wire goes to your steering wheel adapter and another goes to your amp. It only carries a very small current so splitting it into two wont affect it.

Whats the best way of splitting the remote wire?

Well, assuming the connector on you head unit is a bullet type, Id crimp both remote wires (the one from the steering adapter and one for the amp) into a single connector and plug that into the wire from your HU.

Ok, Ill try that. Is it just a matter of getting another butt connector and crimping the two wires in there then?

Yeah. You can crimp two wires into one connector. Just make sure you get a good contact on both of them.
