bolt hanging out

just been to look at the box to try and find a code for it after downloading workshop repair manual gearbox thing,
the manual says that the where the passenger shaft goes in above that somewhere ill find either circle,square or rectangle with codes on it for identifying the box,
whilst looking for that i have cam across a single bolt which is just sitting in a litle surrounded area or the box,this bolt is out the hole and just sitting there.

then i can say section view for the jb1,3,5 and jc5 boxes where the shaft goes in there is a section removed for view purposes and the bolt hole dirrectly above it,is where this bolt seems to be just sitting in the area above where the shaft goes in.

any help please?

Is it one of the ones that holds the clamp for the gaitor?

no idea atall,its inline with passengerside shaft just above where it goes in and inline with clutch/edge of gearbox.
sorry if that makes no sence its not this which is making quiet scratching/grinding the noise is coming from underneath at diff circlip area,
starting to think that a bodge job was done and circlip is just a common fault which has happened too,

need to...
get shaft off and circlip checked to see if this is damaged/popped off,
find a gearbox code for my 1.4 1.6v box which i have put in my 1.6 over christmas,have tried looking on top of box where a manual says and the underside beside the selector but cant find anything apart from 'renault 521' which im confused about.
would this mean jb1 521 box?i cant find the jb1521 on the gearbox and engine list post on here,
