Bonnet Cable Fitting?

When i recently bought my Ph2 172 i noticed the bonnet cable had perished and a wire had been bodged so that if you wanted access you simply pulled it through the front of the grille, this is completely chip shop as f**k!!!! So i phoned and got quoted for a complete new cable from Renault for £37 inc vat, however does anybody know how to fit the new cable?
