Bonnet Dilema

  Black-Gold 182
Here's one for you.

I've a dirty great stone chip in the bonnet of my 182, and all the quotes I have had have been silly (£250+) because the dent is quite bad around the chip. My Clio is Black Gold, so they are saying I might have to have the whole bonnet resprayed (thus the high price), so the way I see it I have three options;

1) Get it resprayed.

2) Try and get a second hand bonnet from a breakers yard that matches.

3) Fork out for a carbon fibre "hood" from K-Tec and leave it natural CF.

The dilema is this; options 1 and 2 both could mean that I could end up with a stone chip in my bonnet again, meaning I'd be back at stage one. Does anyone know if Carbon Fibre bonnets suffer the same problems?
