Bonnet heat shield

Is the bonnet heat shield needed? The clips on mine are knackered and after cleaning the bonnet I'd like to leave it off as I quite like the look.

I take it it's not needed then. Not much weight saving either, it might as well be made of paper.

If you prefer it off then leave it off. Besides, it's sound deadening, not a heat shield, so won't effect anything if you leave it off.

I should have expected something along the lines of tescos..... It's staying off now, just a shame it's not fully sprayed, lazy french c***s.
