Bonnet in boot?

Anybody ever got a bonnet into the boot before?

I'm going to pick up a new front bumper at the weekend and they also have a bonnet that I want. Just wondering if there'd be any chance of squeezing them both into the back. If the bonnet would fit in didn't know if it would lay flat so I could put the bumper on top, or if it would have to be stood up in the back to fit in.

I've had a bonnet and a front bumper in my car at the same time. Bit tight, but doable.

Ah that's good to know! I've got the option of going in the clio, or a BMW 330 and I didn't know which would be the best bet.

Take with you the correct socket needed for a bonnet swap just in case it wont fit

Don't turn up with 3 mates and a boot full of crap if you can help it.

Have had that happen many a time. Once I sold a boot to a car full of 4 people. The rear passengers sat with it by their knees and look through the glass as if they were in a black cab.

Almost as bad as when someone came to a large fish tank and cabinet in a polo 3 up despite me listing clear dimensions.

Yep a blanket and a strip of cord lash with a foot or so overhang each side. Driver and passenger had to hold it down with one had each. If it didn't slide off when they came to the first stop I'd have been impressed.

It does fit, but you won't be able to have any passengers in the car.

Bonnet in first, then loads of sheets on top of it, and the bumper over the top of this into the passenger seat. I had folded the passenger seat right down and it only just fit in for length.

Yeah can be done. I needed to have the front passenger seat all the way forward and tilted.

If I could get a bath and a boot lid from a Triumph 2000 (not at the same time though) in my old Fiat Cinquecento then I would thought a Clio boot will take a bonnet!!
