Bonnet Insulation/deadening

Hopefully this is the right section.

The insulation on my bonnet has started to sag down slightly, as a result it has been touching my engine cover.

I'm guessing that there is no way of rescuing the one on the car and finding a new insulation pad for a ph1 will be near impossible.

Would it be ok to just take it off and have nothing. Or what alternatives have people used?

I think it's only for noise dampening anyway, so unless the added noise bothers you, jus leave it off
