bonnet problems?

last night at work i was telling one of the lads about my new car and he said that there is a problem with the bonnets flying open whilst driving and that it has been on the telly recently, does anyone else know about this problem and does it affect me? (51-plate, 172)

Have you been in hibernation? yes it does afftect you, and basically it requires a bit of maintenance on your part to grease the catch and make sure the bonnet is closed properly after you open it!

not been in hibernation. haha, just only had my clio and been on here a few days thats all:rasp:

WD40 your bonnet latch and make sure it's closed properly after each time you open it, common sense really...

Inchcape Renault replaced my bonnet latch free of charge, after the watchdog findings.

It only seems to affect retards who dont make sure things arent maintained or its closed properly.
