Boot + Interior Light

Just wondering, when I open my bootlid, but all the car doors are closed, and my boot light comes on, should my interior light (the ones in front of the sunroof) be coming on too, or does that 1 only come on when the car door is opened and not the boot?

lastly, its an 04 dynamique, so it has 2 interior lights, 1s a plain interior light the 1 nearer the passenger side, the other 1 next to it but nearer the drivers side is like a wee spot light,

is there any way of making the spot light type 1 come on when a door is opened rather than the plain interior light. as at the moment my light switch only has the following settings, spot light permanently on, all interior lights permanently off, normal interior light on only when a door is opened, and normal interior light permanently on,

I cant seem to find the "spot light on only when a door is opened setting"

as far as i know, no you cant do this.

its pretty easy to do though.

remove the lights from the catchment.

then its just a case of swappin the wiring over.

remember you will have an extra wire on the main light as this is connected to your door

This is the layout, E12 is your main interior light.
E26 is your map light.

HG2K5, is there anything you're happy with in your Clio?

It's very simple, you have 2 positive feeds to the interior light, one from the door locking and one from the door switches. Swap the 2 feeds over and the door switch will operate the Map light instead of the main light.
