Boot light not working

The boot light does not work on my 2002 172, Ive had a multimeter across it, It reads 2-5 volts when the boot is open, If I go and wiggle some wires under the fusebox I can get it to read 12 volts but there are so many wires I wouldnt know where to start with them!

I don't know what your problem is, almost sounds like an Earth problem (from previous experiences) but the Clio's electrics are a bit odd in places aha, but I also have a faulty boot light, so if I find out what it was, I will let you know...
