It will be the boot lock solenoid. You get to it by removing the plastic boot lid trim. It sits behind the Renault diamond on the boot. Really common problem. I sell used ones for £20 posted.

Solenoid is easy to replace, pretty common to fail.

Yep you'll need a new boot solenoid. I replaced mine last week. I got one of these next day with prime https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B073TYGWBQ/?tag=cliospnet01-21
And this shows how to swap it over.

They are cheap!! Not used those myself. Mine are Renault ones from cars I have broken

It's the white plastic part that usually breaks inside

Someone needs to start 3D printing them tbh, last time I bought one they were £9!

I just pulled out the connector and blew air on it, then it worked when plugged it back in

The boot is really fragile, locking mechanisms and all. Worth a check to see if everything is intact.

Is that the part that fails when it is cold? Mine is fine all year round except for winter mornings

Would this also be the fix for mine ? If I unlock the car and open the boot it doesn't recognise that the boots been opened and relocks the car , the alarm is also going off very frequently
