Boot locking motor?

  RB FF 182
My mum has a 2005 campus and she's experiencing problems with the boot.

It opens and closes as normal, but it doesn't lock with the rest of the car. Is it just a case of getting a boot locking motor and switching it over?

it's the mechanical aspect that's gone. consist of a motor and some cog wheels. cogs get stuck, then cause the motor to burn out.
if you get access to it, there is a hose that goes to it. Looks like it is for sending grease down.
