i spose, but i dont want ppl thinkin im a nob or a "chav" if iv got a sport badge on my boot. id rather know wat ppl would say now before i do it. because my plan is to smooth my boot off including de badging it and only having the Renault Sport badge in the bottom left corner (where iit usually is)

Ha ha! On this site mate the way they think is"if it's modified your a chav. but hey who cares as long a syou like it thats all that matters

is the font of the writing not different on MK1 and MK2s? if it is, i think it would look out of place.

Dont think so mate, not on my ph anyway. Not too sure. But then if the whole boot is smoothed and thats the only thing on it how would it look out of place??

I've seen the sport badge stuck under the Clio badge which looked Ok as it was a sport Clio and not a Renault Sport if you know what I mean, i.e. the Dynamique came under the Clio sport range and NOT the Renault Sport.
In the end it's your car, your choice, your taste and it's nice to see Clio's with subtle changes rather than garish body kits (imo) and rear Spoilers you need a ladder to clean the top of.

You can pick up the Sport badge off e-bay for a couple of quid, its comes as a one piece item. The font's on the 1*2's are all different for Renault, Sport and Clio. You may come across the new style lettering there too but seems to be a rare item on e-bay just now.
