Boot won't open

Hi all my sport boot lid won't open anybody know how to get it open / fix ?

Needs new boot solenoid, common problem.

Climb inside the boot and take off the inner tailgate plastic panel and flick the boot mechanism and your in.

To open it you'll need to climb in the back and unscrew the plastic boot trim,
then pull/push the metal bar that actually locks it.

But in terms of fixing it, a trip to Renault is in order to get a new dohicky,
you're best off talking to Adam at Wolverhampton Renault, he's a trader on here and will know exactly what part you'll need,
plus it's usually delivered within a week.

When mine broke it was permanently unlocked, so at least your car's secure.

Don't go to Renault as it's easy enough to do yourself.

Get on eBay and search for clio tailgate lock about £20. It's the solenoid that sits behind the push button, piece of piss to change.

I meant for the part not the work, Jesus they'll charge you £200 for just looking at it.

Think I have made it worse by pushing the button to hard in anger :-/ the button just goes in an out now
